Whether you are applying for a traditional paper visa or an electronic visa, your photo must meet strict biometric standards set by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Do's

Don'ts

- Do not smile, frown, or show teeth.

Digital Upload Specs (E-Visa)
If you are applying for the Russian E-Visa online, you will need to upload a digital photo. The requirements are slightly different from printed photos:

Must be in JPEG (.jpg or .jpeg) format only.
File Size
Between 10 KB and 300 KB maximum.
Resolution
Minimum 450 x 600 pixels. Aspect ratio 35:45.
Color Space
24-bit color depth (sRGB). No black and white.
