As a Kazakh citizen, you need a traditional Russian visa. The e-visa is NOT available to Kazakh passport holders. You must apply through a Russian consulate or visa center.

For a traditional visa, you need a visa invitation (also called "visa support" or "Letter of Invitation"). Tourist invitations can be ordered online in 15 minutes from GetRussianVisa.com for just $18. Business invitations start at $149.

Fill out the official Russian visa application form at visa.kdmid.ru. You'll need your passport details, travel dates, accommodation info (from your invitation), and a passport-sized photo (3.5×4.5cm).

Submit your documents at Embassy of Russia, Astana or 3 other location(s) in Kazakhstan. You can also use VFS Global visa centers where available. Processing takes 5–10 business days (standard), 1–3 days (express).

Once approved, your visa sticker will be placed in your passport. Make sure to register within 7 business days of arrival in Russia (your hotel usually does this automatically).
